Koalas

Koalas are one of our native animals.
They love to eat gum leaves.  Here in
Australia we have gum trees everywhere.

Where my daughter goes to school, they have a lot of gum trees to you will often see them in the trees.

Do not be fooled by there cutest, they have very sharp claws that they use to climb trees.

This one that I'm holding is very young and is happy eating the gum leaves while I am holding her.

They sleep up to 16 to 20 hours a day.

If  you are ever in Australia and would like to hold a Koala there are a lot of places to go.

I was born 44 years ago in a little country town called Crystal Brook.
And have seen most of Australia.
